LO1: Coco Chanel Mademoiselle advert analysis

The purpose of this advert is to advertise a new perfume by Chanel (Coco mademoiselle) they do this by using a popular attractive actress (Keira Knightly) to encourage women to buy the perfume so they can make a profit. The location is clearly  in france as it is a french perfume, and the only time she speaks in the advert she uses the French language, also vespas are also a very french thing, and she is on a vespa and her costume (which is Chanel) is clearly something you would wear if you use a vespa, since it is an all in one leather, there are also people in a similar thing when she reaches the traffic light, but they are male and dressed in black. The first shot of the scene is an establishing shot, but it also shows her vespa which she walks towards to ride.  At the start of the song which is played there are 5 strong beats which work well with the way she is walking, and starts the advert off well. throughout the start of the advert it shows where she is on her way to, she seems to be on her way to some sort of photo shoot, as you see people posing her and photographers taking snap shots of her. Sex is used to advertise in this  advert as it shows a short scene of the photographer removing her clothes and having an intimate moment, and then taking more snap shots of her. It shows towards the end how she leads the photographer on, she puts her finger to his lips and he goes to lock the door, and as he turns around she has disappeared, you then see her put the 'Coco mademoiselle' perfume back in her pocket, she makes out that the perfume is seductive, and that would be the purpose of the scene.
